Halloween Gamejam 2026

It’s this time of the year again, and we crave horror games!
How to participate:
- Join the Molegato’s Lowpoly Mines discord
- Go to the Events and collaborations channel, there’ll be a thread for the gamejam discussion. Introduce yourself.
- Wait until October 12th when the theme will be announced. The announcement will go live on discord and socials, this page will be updated and a thread for uploading entries will be created.
- At that time, you can start developing your game!
- When you’re done, link to your build in the Gamejam Entries thread.
- There will be a stream playing entries and discussing them (date tba).
- On October 23rd, the winners will be announced, and they can contact me about their prize!
Rules:
- Keep entries SFW/SFM. Being a horror gamejam, violence or gore are permitted to an extent, but anything that could get you banned on discord/twitch/socials will get you banned here too. Use your best judgement!
- You can make groups of as many members as you want, or develop solo.
- Absolutely no GenAI or vibecoding allowed. We’re humans.
- If your entry is mostly finished by the deadline but still needs some tweaks or bugfixes, send it anyway along with a note about the bugs and how to enjoy the game despite them. It’ll be appreciated anyway!
- Have fun and don’t stress too much! The small timeframe requires a small project, not crunch time! Health always comes first.
